November 2012 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

We praise God, and give Him all the glory for the past 4 months. We have been very productive for “The Kingdom Purpose”, both Spiritually and Physically. There have been many challenges and blessings, but we know that they always run on the same track, so we praise God for his faithfulness in all things.

Physically, against a 50%-100% rise in prices since last year, we were able to get the tile roof on the lower part of the Team/Training House, and have the rest of the tile ready to finish the roof in January.

We are in the process of constructing a 35’x35′ Pavillion, in the center of the property, so we can begin having meetings and seminars on the Penuel property. The Team/Training House will allow us to house 16 team members from the U.S. on the property, and be available to minister in churches and schools in a 100 mile radius. It will also allow our teams to build relationships with the local people, which has not been possible in the past.

Most of the 4 months were spent building the Team/Training House. We used local workers, and taught stone masons, carpenters, and other tradesman new methods of building. This often took a lot of patience, but it was awesome to see them learn new things and then begin to teach each other.

The Spiritual blessings of the past 4 months have been, “Exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ask or think”. We had two ladies conferences and a marriage seminar. The Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way and we saw many ladies set free from the wounds of their past abuses. The couples in the marriage seminar were eager to listen , and learn, and desire us to have many more teachings on Godly marriage.

We were blessed to have Anne Millikan (our Board member from Indiana) with us for 5 weeks. She was a great help in teaching and in all aspects of the ministry, and we praise God for her.

In September, Ashley Sechrist was with us for 2 weeks. She ministered in the area Schools and God used her in a powerful way in the lives of the students. No one wanted her to leave.

Ric preached several times, and the last message the Lord gave him before we left, was on Grace and Faith. 38 people came forward, including pastors’ wives. Many realized that they had never truly understood God’s Grace.

Years ago, our Patrick said, “Even in their old age, God is using Ric and Jane mightily as they remain “FAT”.

We are at home for a couple of months to raise the funds to finish the Team house, and are trusting God to be able to return to Kenya in January. Thank you for your faithfulness to pray and give to “The Kingdom Purpose”.

  In His Service,

     Ric and Jane Taylor

Construction work on the Team/Training House. See more pictures under “School Project / Construction Update”.

This is a testimony we would like to share, from the Head of the Sunday School at Kakuyuni Redeemed Gospel Church.

“I thank the Lord for divine connection here at Kakuyuni. The Lord in his divine plans has connected us to Rev. Ric and Jane Taylor whom the Lord is using to touch and transform our lives. Their living testimonies and teachings have blessed us mightily. When we are announced of their coming we wait for them eagerly, knowing that they are caring a message from God our creator.”

“Our families are restored because of the couples seminars they teach. There is always a continuous momma’s seminar which has brought healing and deliverance from heavy burdens that the momma’s carry. Children are also ministered to as they bring many people who are talented in teaching children.”

“Many people have given their life to Christ through the teachings that they bring. The lives of many women have been transformed by the ladies seminars, and as a result, their husbands have now given their lives to Christ from seeing the good character of  their wives.”

“The seminars are open to all denominations, and many people from other churches in the area come to hear the word of God.”

” Many of us who have opened our hearts to them never remain the same.”

May God bless you, Ric and Jane, with the desires of your heart, keep you in good health. God bless you, because your work for the Lord is not in vain.

In Christ Love, Grace

June Newsletter before returning to Kenya

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”    Isa. 40:31

Dear Friends,

This verse has been a blessing to us as we have waited on direction and guidance from the Lord. Waiting has been difficult at times, but once again it’s proven that the Lord’s timing is perfect.  For months we have been trusting God to supply the funds to complete the Team/Training House on the land of our vision project. In May, our Board agreed that we should wait to return to Kenya until we had the money to finish construction of the House (mainly because construction materials in Kenya must be paid for in cash upon delivery). Praise God, the funds to complete the House are now in hand, and we will leave for Kenya on June 26th.

In this short time that God has directed us to wait, he has also provided us with temporary housing in a small apartment in Nairobi, above a church of a pastor friend. This time has also allowed the land to dry following recent torrential rains, which would have made construction and travel nearly impossible a month ago.  God also allowed time for Jane to have knee surgery following an injury that God only knew.

So, now we are ready to run and not be weary, walk and not faint.

We would ask for your prayers during this time regarding:

  • Safety as we travel internationally, and also daily on the sometimes dangerous Kenyan roads.
  • Wisdom and Discernment needed in order to make critical decisions in the days ahead. (Better temporary housing in Nairobi, purchasing of construction materials, obtaining a more reliable vehicle, planning mission outreach, etc.)
  • Monies available in our general fund (used for our living and travel expenses), which have been down 65% during the last three months.
  • Additional funds needed to purchase a more reliable vehicle for transportation.
  • Complete healing of Jane’s knee.
  • God’s work through the Penuel Ministries Team. Pray for Anne Millikan, as she once again joins us in ministering to the people of Kenya.

We thank you for your continued financial and prayerful support. We appreciate your faithfulness. God Bless you as you stand with us in the days ahead, and as we continue together to serve the Lord.

In the Service of the King,

Ric and Jane Taylor

News from our Mission Conference Trip…

Dear Friends,

During the weekend of March 3rd, we were blessed to be part of the annual Missions Conference at Salem Baptist Church in Crozier, VA.  Missionaries from many different countries and local areas participated in the two day conference. It was a blessing to fellowship and spend time with old friends and make new friends, while sharing all that God is doing around the world.

We are also excited to announce that Pastor Zack Zbinden of Salem Baptist Church ( Crozier, VA) has accepted our invitation to serve on the Advisory Board of Penuel Ministries. Joining Pastor Zach as new board members will also be Jim and Kathy Baysore (of Waynesville, OH) and Dave and Judy Taylor (of Draper, VA).

It is our blessing and joy to have such a wonderful group of Godly people who pray for us and assist us in the ongoing work of our ministry.
