Grace with Jane, smiling in the Lord

In 2004, I joined Kakuyuni Redeemed Gospel Church. I am married with four children. There I met with the missionaries, Richard and Jane Taylor, who ministered in this church. My life has changed a lot because of their teaching and testimonies they give and even through the people that come to minister with them (such as) Anne.

Spiritually, it has helped me to grow very much and to have intimacy with God. As for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I have learned the reality of the Holy Spirit and sin and living a holy life. I have learned that I don’t have to struggle because the Holy Spirit will enable me to stay a holy life if I depend on Him.

Through the film the missionaries showed about the Passion of Christ, I was touched very much and decided I should choose to live a holy life because I saw the reality of Jesus’ suffering. I was also moved by seeing his 39 stripes by which the Bible says we receive our healing.

Through the couple’s seminar I have learned that I should obey and submit to my husband. That is a way of worship. I should also love my husband and pray for him. I should not despise my self as a woman because God is love and has a divine purpose for me. Through prayers and counseling I have been delivered from the spirit of divorce which has been in my family since I was born. We have happiness and joy in the family together with the children.

My life had a lot of downfall because I could not accept myself. I didn’t know my position in Christ so my face looked dull and everything I did could not succeed. I was a total failure and through the missionaries I learned that I am fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. So, I should not despise myself. This has helped me because before I did not like to look at myself in the mirror but now I can accept my personal appearance. I have also gone to several trainings and I have performed very well. I am changed from a failure to a victor.

My life in general has changed. I have hope in God. I have the joy of the Lord and I know who I am.

My prayer is to God to give the missionaries wisdom, energy, good health, and a lot of grace as they come to minister. So, I thank God for them because God used them to come and change our lives in Kenya. May God provide resources to them. All glory and honor be to God.   Amen.

My name is Rose Muen Masya. I love Jesus. He is my Father and my friend. My hope  and trust is upon Him. Psalm 127:1. I have surrendered my life to Him, because He owns everything. I have chosen to stay close to Jesus like Mary, the sister of Lazarus in John 11. I am waiting upon God day by day. Due to the love of Jesus, I came to know Sister Jane. We have been sharing our testimonies every week (at the Village Market). It has been sweet sharing about Jesus with her. Recently, Jane and her husband visited in our church, Deliverance Church of Pangani, where she ministered to the ladies.
